The Process
How Motor Diligence works
We handle every step of buyer-side due diligence — from listing review to shipping coordination — so you can make a confident decision from anywhere.
Before you spend on inspection
Vehicle Watch
We review the listing, VIN history, photos, pricing, and seller profile for red flags. We also monitor publicly visible listing changes for 15 days. You will know whether the vehicle is worth pursuing before spending money on an inspection.
Includes
- Listing availability monitoring for 15 days
- Publicly visible price change monitoring for 15 days
- Price alerts
- VIN history check review (Carfax / AutoCheck)
- Pricing analysis vs. market comparables
- Listing photo review for damage indicators
- Seller history and profile assessment
- Title status and accident history summary
Independent, buyer-contracted
Shop-Based Lift Inspection
We find an independent shop near the seller and put the vehicle on a lift. Mobile inspection is a fallback, not the default — because undercarriage damage, rust, leaks, suspension wear, and structural issues are rarely visible in a driveway or dealer lot.
Includes
- Local independent shop with lift
- No affiliation with selling dealership
- Inspection scope briefing and coordination
- Appointment scheduling and follow-up
- Direct report delivery to buyer
Plain-language analysis
Findings Review
We analyze the inspection report on your behalf. Technical findings become plain language. We tell you what is minor, what is significant, and what might be a reason to walk away.
Includes
- Mechanical finding severity classification
- Deferred maintenance identification
- Cost-of-repair estimation context
- Comparison to known model-specific issues
- Seller disclosure cross-reference
Written recommendation with action plan
Buyer-Side Report
You receive a written Motor Diligence report with a direct recommendation: Proceed, Negotiate, or Walk Away — along with specific negotiation points and questions to ask before committing.
Includes
- Overall recommendation (Proceed / Negotiate / Walk Away)
- Risk summary with priority items
- Negotiation points with suggested price adjustments
- Questions to ask the seller
- Suggested next steps
